When you remove the obstacles erected by you and your toxic world you’ll allow true healing power to flow through you.

Dr.Wayne Dyer

Notes from The Editor

When we think “obstacles”… too difficult because…, never done this before because…, can’t afford…, too busy…, hate my job, but…,

“And then the day came when the risk to remain in a but and in a because was more painful, then the risk, it took to blossom.”

Anais Nin, French writer (1903-1977)

The roadblocks we face, we name them “obstacles”, they really: fear, denial and self-sabotage.

Fear expresses itself in many ways. From sweaty palms to full blown anxiety attacks.
Denial can help us avoid feelings of abandonment, loss of intimacy. Denial is the antithesis of courage.
Self-sabotage. We mask our insecurities. It can be simple as complex as downplaying compliments. It can be complex as no calling
and asking for help, “oh, it’s not going to change it anyway.”

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond the measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us, “Who am I to be the brilliant, gorgeous talented, fabulous?
Actually who are you not to be? And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Notes from The Editor

If you resist the positive influence of gratitude, you may also doubt it’s “healing” powers. When you’re going through tough times, it can be hard to imagine that the simple act of feeling greatful can be such a life-changing tool.

Dr.Robert Emmons, professor of psychology at the University of California, has been conducting scientific research on gratitude and it’s importance for nearly twenty years.

Dr. Emmons found that those who write in gratitude journals on weekly basis also exercised more regularly, reported fewer physical symptoms, felt better about their lives, and were more optimistic than the control group that did not keep the journals. Participants who kept gratitude lists were more likely to have made progress toward important personal goals over a two months period compared to those who did not.
Dr.Emmons came to the conclusion that grateful people reported higher levels of positive emotions and lower levels of depression and stress.

In Japan, the concept of gratitude as a healing force has been studied for years.
“What have I given to others?” “What have I received from others that I can be thankful for?
In this Japanese tradition, it is believed that the greatest obstacles to gratitude is self-preocupation and our sense of entitlement.
Self-preoccupation kills gratitude. When we are so preoccupied by our own thoughts, feelings, needs, we have very little attention left to notice what others doing to support us.
The more we think we have earned something or deserve it, the less likely we feel grateful for it.
Our mistakes and limitations have way of making us humble. They form a backdrop for future gratitude and deep sense of appreciation for what is right in our lives.

Below are some excerpts from Detoxify or Die by Sherry A. Rogers M.D.

Pesticides: Paralyzers of the Immune System

Most folks have hazy concept of what the immune system involves because we cannot see it, we cannot operate on it or cut out or transplant it. We also cannot live without it. It’s our police force that protects from invading bugs, cancers cells and toxins. If it fails we have infection.

All diseases have aspects of immune dysfunction. Further more, half of the immune system for the entire body lies inside the gut lining, which is why gut health is so important to recovery from anything.

Research from the Harvard School of Public Health have shown us how many pesticides can mimic every single immune system malady we can think of. Even minute damage then leads to auto-immune diseases, leukemia’s and other forms of cancers, increased infections, strange kidney disease, allergies, growth retardation, learning disability, headaches, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel, asthma and more. No wonder childhood cancer has finally become the top cause of death by disease.

Because of their extremely dangerous persistence in the environment, many pesticides do not “go away” or deteriorate, but last a lifetime, as DDT studies show. Because of their strong ability to cause cancer, several pesticides have been banned after being used recklessly for decades. But that does not mean that we have stopped using them. In fact, we sell them to Third World countries who often use them to excess and I have read that peasant farmers, cannot read English labels, much less know know enough chemistry to understand their dangers, and have a far less affluent diet and medical system. They in turn sell us their produce, making a circle of poison complete.

DDT came on the scene in 1943. By 1973 DDT had been used or 30 years. Yet the World Health Organization (WHO) report concluded that its benefits were far greater than its risks.

It takes 25 years before damaging health effects were realized. By then it was too late. There are no longer any living organisms, animals in the wild or humans, free of DDT. In fact, if we stopped ingesting and inhaling it today, it would take 20 years for the levels of DDT to dissipate from our bodies.

DDT is now recognized as contributing to pancreatic cancers, breast cancers, liver and many more. As well as DDT is capable of damaging any hormonal function. No wonder thyroid disease, depression, impotence, and fatigue are so rampant.

DDT is one minute example. Pesticides residues are not only found in every ocean of the world, every sea, and even in a breast milk of Indian women near Arctic Circle.

Cadmium Curse

You, like many people, may never even have heard of cadmium, other then use in batteries. But it is one of the many heavy metals that contaminate our air, food, and water. You cannot escape it. And once in the body, cadmium damages and mimics the chemistry of diseases.

How do we stockpile cadmium in our bodies?

It’s unavoidable. Just look at the many sources of cadmium toxicity:

  • food is the most important source, as many commercial foods are grown on cadmium-rich sewage sludge which is sold as a commercial fertilizer
  • shellfish and bottom feeding fish concentrate industrial contamination from waterways, much of the seafood for the Atlantic Coast comes from one of the most polluted waters, the Chesapeake Bay, one of the world’s largest naval shipyards containing high amounts of cadmium and PCBs from barnacle-proving bottom paints
  • the greatest source: burning fuels like oil, and industrial exhaust, municipal incinerators of plastics and batteries, coal, furnaces for electricity, etc.
  • drinking water is progressively more contaminated while softened water (from your water softener) and acidic water (from chlorine and other chemicals) hold even more cadmium.
  • and many occupations and exposures magnify the possibility of cadmium toxicity: auto mechanics, glass makers, jewelers, lithographers, graders, sculptors, textile printers, painters and those who work with solder, welding, plating, ceramics and pottery (or eating and drinking from unglazed pottery), electric instruments, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, pigments, plastics, dental amalgams, and those wearing porcelain dental crowns, and more.

In essence, yo cannot find a person without excessive cadmium exposure (U.S.Department of Health & Human Services, 1990.

Consider these facts about cadmium:

The average daily cadmium intake is 30 mcg, but the body has no way of getting rid of it. This number is just an average, for lots of people have more. For example, smoking on tiny cigarette provides 2 mcg. of cadmium, with the pack more then doubling the av daily body burden.

The presence of cadmium and other heavy metals stimulate the body’s formation of heavy metal binding proteins, hi concentrates cadmium 3000 fold in the body.

The half-life of cadmium in the body (time it takes to get rid of half of its cadmium) is 10-30 years.
It takes 20-50 years to stockpile enough to cause hypertension, osteoporosis, painful arthritis or to damage an organ or the mechanism for cholesterol control, or produce lung or any other kind of cancer.

Clearly you are beginning to appreciate how environmental pollutants stockpile over lifetime in the body to eventually manifest in common symptoms that cadmium causes:
hypertension, angina, high cholesterol, cancer, osteoporosis, bizarre neurological syndromes, hormone deficiencies, depression, puzzling pain syndromes, migraines, ringing in the ears, arthritis etc.

Other interesting book by Dr. Sherry A.Rogers “Depression is cures at last.”. In a nutshell it said: It show that it borders on malpractice to treat depression as a Prozac deficiency, to drug cardiology patients, or any other medical/psychiatric problems without first ruling out proven causes.’

With over 700 pages and 1,000 complete references, it covers the environmental, nutritional and metabolic causes of all disease.

Editors Notes:

Detoxify or Die ends with references that validate every statement which is presented in this book.

I am grateful a friend of mine who actually wasn’t willing to do the Isagenix cleansing and replenishing program until he read this book. His comment were: “The first part of this book presents the facts, but the second part talks about different approaches to cleansing different organs.” He said that it made him feel hopeless, because the approaches to the issues were tedious and expensive. He immediately appreciated how the Isagenix method addresses it in a well thought out WHOLE BODY ORGAN CLEANSE and ADDS ALL MINERALS AND ESSENTIALS which are now missing in our foods. He said “it’s easy, inexpensive (it replaces some meals) and effective”. One can simply adopt to one or two meal replacements daily, and one day a week cleanse on a regular basis. That is a person chooses to take control of maintaining better health for themselves.

Lead

Lead

If you were born to be a leader, lead! Take the lead if isn’t given to you first. Blaze the trail. Usher in a new era. Lead your people, lead your generation. When the people lead, leaders will follow. Take the lead position, and give others target to aim for. Lead the way to victory; lead the way to freedom. If it has always been hard for you to follow, now it’s time for you to lead. Take one woman by hand and lead her to a life of peace. Lead her back to herself .
And all that means we need you now, more then ever, to lead.
Rachel Snyder
Notes from The Editor

So many of us misunderstand the word “Leader”. There are so many levels of leadership that one has learn during their life journey.

To be a good parent, you have to be a leader. How do you know that your school of parenting is the right one? You could learn from other’s. As well you want to learn how to re-learn, because what you thought was right isn’t working. Your methods are outdated. They come from pre-concived programing for many of us.
What qualities you need to learn to become a leader in other areas of life? Personal relationships, Social, Career. If your Leadership is strickly driven by your ego; you want to be in front of people, make sure that you truly earned that right. Teaching and Leading are two different things. You can teach because you memorized, or you can lead because you walked through your own experiences, and now you take a lead because you care for others. You do not tell, you lead by example. They truly need your leadership. You will pave the trail for their future leadership. Remember one thing, no one can lead you if you do not want to become a leader yourself once you have gotten your wings.
